Applications for entertainment

Not everything on your iPhone has to be related to improving your productivity or entertaining your kids. There has to be something to keep you entertained as well. For starters how about the addictive Farmville by Zynga. If you are already addicted to the game, then this is a great way to have the game on the go. If you are yet to try the game out, there is no better time than this. It is now a free application. The first time you log in, you will have to create an account if you don’t already have one on Facebook. Once done, you are can be a great virtual farmer.

Work getting the best of you and you are unable to shoot a few baskets with your buddies, then iBasket may just be for you. This game can be started anywhere and at any time. It tests the number of virtual baskets you can shoot in a given time. You have the options to playing the game with sound effects or without it, if you don’t want to disturb your co-passenger on the subway. The game is controlled by a minimal number of buttons. You have two options in terms of version, an ad-based free one and a ad-free $0.99 version.

Sometimes, when bored, you need a game that can challenge your senses. The deadlock puzzle is one such. It is a game that is quite difficult to progress in but one that can keep you engrossed for hours. All you need to do is fit the pieces displayed into a peg shaped board with the various shapes. It will take a long time to get through the first level and this may tend to put you off, but again, the game is quite engrossing. Available for $0.99, its worth having around.

Secret Agent is a game that goes back to basics in terms of platform games. You have a gun and who wouldn’t love that. The aim of the game is simple, shoot as many of the bad guys as possible to get to the Big Boss. This game has hours of potential and each level goes through scenarios like a warehouse etc. For those used to a lot of action in their games, this can take a while, but it is an engrossing to own at $1.99
